In today's diverse classrooms, increasing student engagement and supporting personalized learning are crucial for academic success. Pacing guides are essential tools that help educators plan and track curriculum progress effectively. In this session learn how using these guides provide a structured yet flexible framework, allowing teachers to adjust instruction to meet individual student needs. By incorporating pacing guides, educators can create targeted activities and assessments that cater to different learning styles and levels. This approach ensures that all students stay engaged, challenged, and on a consistent learning path.
Attendees will learn how a successful high school Veterinary Assisting CTE program within the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) pathway, students are prepared for real-world jobs, internships, and experiential learning opportunities after gaining hands-on experience with a large live classroom animal species collection. Through learning about animal nutrition, husbandry, care, introductory diagnostics, and basic medical treatments, students master multitasking and perfect communication techniques while recording daily medical information using task lists and appropriate medical terminology. With this robust combination of classroom and practical experiences, students are well-equipped and in-demand for careers in the veterinary field or post -secondary opportunities.
