Developing Professional Learning for Employer Partners
Thursday February 13, 2025 8:30am - 10:30am CST
As CTE leaders in buildings and at the regional level, we are often designing and implementing professional learning for our educators. What happens when it is our employer partners that need professional learning? We will explain from beginning to end how we identified the need for employer partner professional learning in hosting work-based learning. We will share our employer partner presentation materials including Are you Intern Ready?, the free micro-credential that leads employer partners to develop several key documents as they plan to host a high school intern, and our presentation materials from a December 2024 workshop designed to dispel myths about employing or hosting 16 and 17 year old's in work-based learning in the manufacturing setting.
