Mark Smith is an educator at Reed Custer High School and an Adjunct at numerous community colleges over the years. He is currently serving on the WCA Education Board and is implementing the WCA Skill Standards curriculum at his current teaching post.  He has worked in various industry related positions over the years and was the National Director for WoodLINKS USA.  Mark consults with companies who want to become familiar with CNC programming and CNC operation.  He is passionate about marketing his industrial technology program.  He uses FaceBook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Email, Box, Dropbox, Weebly, Newsletters, and Press Releases to promote the students in his industrial technology program.  He has over 80 articles written about his program and his students' accomplishments. Mark was the recipient of the 2006 “Education is the Key”, “Golden Apple” awards, and the 2024 WIA Wooden Globe "Educator of the Year".
